Invitation to the Holberg Prize Seminar
The Ludvig Holberge Memorial Fund is pleased to issue an open invitation to attend a seminar with a number of well-known speakers, including this year’s Holberg Prize winner, Jürgen Habermas. The seminar will be held Tuesday, 29 November, in Auditorium 1, in the Law Faculty building (University of Bergen). People intending to attend are asked to sign up with the Memorial Fund Secretariat, at www.holbergprisen.no.
The Holberg Prize is awarded annually to an outstanding scholar from the humanities, social sciences, law or theology. (Please see the web site for more information.) This year’s prize will be presented to Jürgen Habermas at an official ceremony, 30 November.
At the seminar on 29 November, Habermas will given a lecture entitled, " The Role of Religion in the Public Sphere". Other speakers at the seminar include:
